When we create new categories we need to set some preferences in order for people to see them the way we want them to be seen. We want our categories to be seen in two places. We want them to be accessible via your own weblog as well as our aggregator. ... We also want a link back to your weblog. In order for that to happen, your weblog needs to be rendered in both HTML and xml.
This assumes that you have already created your "Week in Review" category. The first thing to do is to go to your Weblog Home Page
The next thing to do is click on the category name on your home page, the name you wish to edit.
Then you set your preferences like this setup.
The category name is whatever you have chosen for a category.
The description is a short description of your category.
Check the box indicating "Render this category in HTML." That will set your category to be visible as a part of weblog.
Also, check the box that indicates "Notify Weblogs.com." That notifies subscribers of the new posting.
In the choice for "Theme," select "-None-". That will cause our current theme to be used for the HTML rendering of this category.
